All personal data collected from students and/or their parents or guardians in connection with their education at International Nusantara Education Center (INEC) ("School") will be handled by authorized school personnel, kept confidential, and used by the School for lawful and relevant purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Verification of a student's academic, personal, and administrative information;

  • School administration, management, and operations;

  • Admission, enrollment, assessment, and educational services;

  • Organization, administration, and operation of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, field trips, educational visits, competitions, camps, and school events;

  • Arranging relevant insurance coverage, medical assistance, supervision, transportation, and related services through approved third-party providers where necessary;

  • Communication with parents, guardians, and students, including newsletters, announcements, emergency notifications, event information, and educational updates;

  • Academic monitoring, student welfare, safeguarding, counseling, and pastoral care;

  • Statistical analysis, quality assurance, educational research, and institutional development;

  • Alumni relations and alumni activities; and

  • Any other purposes directly related to the provision of educational services by the School.

The School may disclose certain personal data to third parties, including governmental authorities, educational institutions, examination boards, service providers, insurance providers, healthcare providers, transportation providers, technology providers, security providers, and contractors engaged by the School to perform academic, administrative, operational, extracurricular, safeguarding, or support functions.

Personal data will not be disclosed to external parties except where:

  • Such disclosure is described in this Statement;

  • Consent has been provided by the student or parent/guardian where required;

  • The disclosure is necessary for the provision of educational or related services; or

  • The disclosure is permitted or required by applicable laws and regulations.

Personal data may be stored in the School's databases, information management systems, cloud-based platforms, learning management systems, student information systems, and other educational technology platforms used by the School. Such systems may be operated by service providers located within or outside Indonesia, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable legal requirements.

Personal data will form part of the student's official educational record and may be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill educational, administrative, legal, regulatory, and operational purposes. Where personal data is no longer required and retention is not mandated by law, the School will securely delete or anonymize such information.

Where a Parent Association or similar parent organization is established, the School may share limited contact information with such organization for school-related activities, communications, and community engagement purposes. Parents who do not wish their information to be included may notify the School in writing.

If a student has siblings enrolled at the School, relevant family records may be updated based on information provided during enrollment or re-enrollment processes.

Failure to provide requested personal data may affect the School's ability to provide certain educational services, process applications, facilitate participation in activities, respond to emergencies, or comply with legal obligations.

The School will take all reasonable and practical measures to ensure that personal data is accurate, complete, secure, and protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, loss, or destruction.

Subject to applicable laws and regulations, students and/or their parents or guardians may have the right to request access to, correction of, or updating of personal data held by the School. Such requests should be submitted in writing to the School Principal or the designated Data Protection Officer. The School reserves the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee where permitted by law.

Where any communication constitutes direct marketing under applicable law, the School will obtain consent where required and will honor requests to withdraw consent or unsubscribe from such communications.
